Activant Select is an integrated computer solution and is based on the power of Activant Dimensions Canada, yet it functionality has been targeted to meet the requirements of the small to medium-sized business operations.

Velocity^© POS with it’s graphical user interface is at the leading edge of business management innovation. This graphical point-of-sale product was developed specifically for the home improvement industry. It is full-featured and easy to use.

Complete Functionality for One Low Monthly Fee

An Activant Select solution, which includes training and support, can be acquired for one low monthly fee. The base system is a two-user system and includes one cash station and a back office workstation. Activant Select can be upgraded at any time to include additional workstations or increased functionality (i.e. Bar Coding) for an additional monthly fee. Customers also have an opportunity to upgrade to a full function Activant Dimensions Canada or other Activant solution should the need arise.

Training

There are three main components to the training programs for Activant Select. The first step is pre-implementation staging, which is performed at Activant. The second and main component is the Activant Select training which is a combination of on-site training and a number of telephone training sessions. The final component is the training for optional products such as Bar Coding.

Support

Activant provides Activant Select customers a comprehensive support plan. The plan consists of unlimited 1-800 telephone and e-mail support.

Software Support is included in the monthly price of the system. The services are designed to minimize interruptions and resolve problems in your system operation. By placing a toll-free call to our Advice Line, customers will receive expert assistance and advice from qualified professionals.

Hardware Protection Plan

To maintain the quality of your system, we offer the most extensive hardware maintenance available in the industry today. This thorough program covers all of your hardware rented from Activant and includes our assistance and support for your system. This means a configured system with your software will be standing by in the London office ready to be shipped next business day should a problem arise. All stores will benefit from the certainty that all hardware components will continue to perform according to the environment they were purchased for or they will be replaced at no additional cost.
