(1) Processors can be Pentium, Celeron, or AMD
(2) Additional RAM can increase system speed, particularly at POS
(3) For POS stations with PAC Board cash drawers, Windows 95, 98, or ME is required. For stations without POS devices or with new PAC-less devices, Windows XP Professional is recommended.
(4) Must have sufficient number of USB ports to support all USB peripherals (i.e., Cash Drawer, Cash Receipt Printer, Scanner, Debit pad, Keyboard, Mouse, etc.)
(5) Sound card and speakers should be on all POS stations or stations with Bar Code scanning in order to hear a clear audible beep tone that indicates a good or bad scan. They are also recommended to take advantage of the integrated training videos and quick tips. This may not be needed at all stations.
(6) Depending on existing or new devices to be connected (i.e., Customer Display pole, CRP, etc.) which require serial connection, must ensure that you have sufficient serial ports available.

Third Party PC’s meeting the above recommended specifications listed are not necessarily guaranteed to work properly with the Activant Eagle for Windows Programs.
